Image Edition stores bi-level images as TIFF G4. An 8 1/2 x 1 inch page scanned at 300dpi (dots per inch) black and white setting typically requires 50-60k of disk space. Grayscale and color images can require much more space depending on the complexity and bit-depth of the page. Text files are stored compressed and typically require about 1k per page. We recommend that you test your scanner with various document samples to determine the best settings and typical space required.
