When viewing a document at a zoom level such that the entire document cannot fit in the window in both the vertical and horizontal directions, the panning hand can be used to move around the document. To activate the panning hand, double-click the left mose button in the viewing area and release it. Now simply slide the mouse around to move the view. When the mouse hits an edge of the window, continue moving in that direction and the window will continue to pan. To exit from the panning mode, click the left mouse button again. Other functions of the mouse button; clicking the right mouse button will zoom in to a selected area (if ther is one) or toggle between 100% zoom and the default view (see PREFERENCES dialog).
