Ovation Data Services, Inc. confirms that the imaging software product, Image Edition (Personal and LAN versions), meets the requirements for Year 2000 compliance both in presently supported versions 3.x and all previous and future versions. Our products run on Microsoft Windows 95/98 and Windows NT version 3.51 and above.   All dates which the user enters and those which are generated  automatically by our product are stored with a 4 digit year. The user is prevented from entering a date with less than 4 digits or beyond the range 1800-2100.   Date comparisons and searches correctly calculate that years 2000 and after come after 19XX. Displayed documents are correctly ordered so that dates after 2000 will appear after dates within 19XX when viewed in ascending sort order. In printed reports and on-screen displays, all dates are always shown with a 4 digit year.  The underlying Windows operating system stores all dates for data files in an encoded format starting from the year 1980 and will be able to uniquely store dates beyond the year 2080.

In addition to Image Edition, the imaging software products, Image Mail, Image CD, and Image Web have also been reviewed and determined to be free from any dependency on, or impact by, the eventual date change to the Year 2000.  Compliance may be based upon the finds and statements from that respected product/software vendor.

NOTE: Other software packages, such as Xerox Text Bridge Pro,  B-Scan from Image Access, and any other 3rd party software have not been reviewed by ODS for Year 2000 compliance. Issues regarding these applications should be obtained from their respective manufacturers.

NOTE:  Many imaging peripherals are year 2000 compliant, because of No Date Related Processing.  Please contact your respective imaging peripheral manufacturer to determine year 2000 compatibility issues.  Specifically, not all firmware versions support year 2000.  Additionally, please check the conformity of any bundled software in addition to the imaging peripheral firmware for year 2000 compliance.  Issues regarding these applications should be obtained from their respective manufacturers.

Internally, Ovation Data Services, Inc. should not be effected by the problems associated with the Year 2000.  We are confident that Ovation will be well positioned to make a successful transition into the new millennium.
